As a Barista at Partridge Lakes Café, you’ll be the face of our lakeside retreat, crafting exceptional drinks and delivering the friendly, efficient service our loyal customers love.
Set against a stunning backdrop, you’ll work as part of a close-knit team to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for our community of regulars and visitors alike.
What will you do?
Your role will primarily focus on barista and front-of-house responsibilities, including:
- Preparing and serving a range of hot drinks including coffees, teas, and speciality drinks
- Operating the coffee machine and maintaining consistent drink quality
- Taking customer orders and processing payments using the till
- Serving customers at the café hatch and providing friendly, efficient service
- Ensuring drinks and food are presented to our high standards
- Keeping the coffee station clean, stocked, and well-organised
You will also support with:
- Preparing simple food items and assisting the kitchen when needed
- Clearing tables and keeping the café and outdoor seating areas tidy
- Washing up and maintaining cleanliness across the café
- Unpacking and organising food and drink deliveries
- Emptying bins and helping keep all areas clean and welcoming
- Supporting the team with any other café-related duties as needed
What we are looking for:
- Someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing café environment and takes pride in serving great coffee
- A friendly and approachable person who enjoys chatting with customers and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- A hard-working and hands-on individual who is happy to help with all areas of the café, including cleaning and restocking
- A team player with a positive attitude who can stay calm and efficient during busy periods
- Flexible and reliable, with a strong work ethic
- A good communicator who works well with colleagues
Previous barista or café experience is helpful but not essential. A willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are just as important.
